Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our procurement team. In this vital role, you will drive the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing processes to ensure the timely acquisition of quality materials, products, and services. Your expertise in supply chain management and familiarity with ERP systems will enable you to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and support seamless production and merchandising operations. Qualifications
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within a manufacturing or retail environment.
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 is essential.
- Knowledge of materials management, inventory control, supply chain management, and logistics processes.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms with suppliers.
- Ability to analyze pricing strategies and develop sourcing options that optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Experience working with procurement software tools including E-commerce platforms and contract management systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 to streamline purchasing workflows.
- Source suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms for materials and products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production planning, logistics, merchandising, and inventory management to forecast needs and coordinate supply chain activities.
- Monitor inventory levels through inventory control systems and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools to prevent stockouts or excess stock.
- Conduct market research and evaluate suppliers’ performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier documentation for audit readiness.
- Support e-commerce platforms by managing online sourcing channels and coordinating logistics for direct-to-consumer orders.
